About the event

AFA is bringing the supply chain and other aerospace businesses around the state together like never before to win Boeing's new airplane. We are endeavoring toward the "big ideas" that can help make our state's case for the NMA, while also working to strengthen the supply chain and related businesses. The ideas and solutions put forth by the task force will be funneled up to the Governor's Choose Washington NMA Council, which AFA is co-leading, for possible inclusion in the proposal to Boeing.

We are determined to:

  • Win the NMA in Washington state!
  • Strengthen the supply chain!
  • Remain the global hub of aerospace!

More about the AFA NMA Task Force from Glenn Farley, King 5 News

The AFA Board of Directors developed the task force to bring together stakeholders across the state with the goal of winning the design, production and assembly of the Boeing NMA, should Boeing decide to build the aircraft. "Industry engagement in this effort is essential to helping win the NMA in Washington. The work being done by the AFA NMA Task Force includes strengthening the supply chain and developing the 'big ideas' from industry that could set Washington apart from our competitors," said Kelly Maloney, AFA president and CEO. "We are going to be bold in our approach to winning the NMA."
