Consolidation of LIFT Magazine & Northwest Aerospace News Magazine

May 13th, 2020

Dear Readers & Contributors:

The Aerospace Futures Alliance announces that the Winter 2020 issue of LIFT Magazine was our last. Beginning in June 2020, LIFT will consolidate into Northwest Aerospace News Magazine.

Over thirteen volumes and 133 articles, LIFT told the story of Washington’s aerospace excellence. We featured new developments in mobility – including the Mitsubishi SpaceJet and magniX electric engine – alongside de Havilland Beavers flow by Kenmore Air.

We spread the word about our commercial space expertise – from legacy companies like Aerojet Rocketdyne to new upstarts like Blue Origin. But most importantly, we celebrated the many individuals – including countless educators, executives, and students – who have made Washington state the global leader in aerospace.

COVID-19 has brought us many stories of resilience and resourcefulness in the aerospace industry. You will read some of these in the upcoming issue of NWAN. Our partnership with Dean Cameron and his publication will amplify these stories and provide a single voice for Washington’s aerospace community to a global audience. Stories important to AFA members and policy makers will be featured under the LIFT banner in the magazine.

As part of this partnership, we are excited to offer a $500 coupon to AFA members for any print, digital, or video product offered by NWAN. New and future members will also receive this offer. Any members interested in this opportunity are encouraged to contact Erin Herringshaw, our Director of Strategic Engagement, at erinh@afa-wa.com. LIFT subscribers will receive a digital copy of NWAN. You may also subscribe to Northwest Aerospace News Magazine to receive a print copy sent in the mail. Make sure your address is up-to-date at www.northwestaerospacenews.com.

We would like to thank LIFT Magazine’s Editorial Board, including Rosemary Brester and John Monroe, as well as the many community members who contributed to LIFT Magazine since the inaugural edition in March 2017. We look forward to your continued partnership.

Sincerely,

Emily Wittman

President & CEO Aerospace Futures Alliance
